1. I want to pay online with a credit card, but I've never
used PayPal.
It's simple to set up a PayPal account, and there are no fees; and now, you
don't even have to set up a PayPal account! PayPal is a secure, easy way
to make online payments using your credit or
debit
card;
2. Can I pay by credit card without using PayPal?
Yes - we're now accepting Visa and MasterCard, as well as American Express.
3. What if I don't want to pay by credit card?
You can mail us a check, money order or cashier's check for your order; our
mailing address is:
Ann Rose Thomas
PO Box 1232
Sun Valley CA 91353
Checks should be made out to Ann Thomas. Please note that we usually wait
until personal checks clear before shipping an order; orders paid by money
order or cashier's check are sent right away.
4. How long will it take for my order to arrive?
Our volume has increased quite a bit lately, so we're no longer able to get
orders out as quickly as we once did. Still, we do make every effort to
ship
orders within 2-3 business days. Please feel free to email
Rose at any time to check on the status of your order.
5. How will I know if my online order went through?
You'll receive an email confirmation, and a second confirmation when the
order ships. If you're paying via PayPal, then PayPal will have a record
of your transaction, so you can always log into the PayPal
website
to ensure
that
your order was
placed
correctly (you won't receive a shipping notification if paying by PayPal).
And
of
course, you can always check with us, too.
6. I want to order several different button designs; can
I do this in one order?
Sure! Feel free to mix and match all you want on smaller orders (20 buttons
or less). If you're placing a bulk order, please limit the number of designs
to 10% of the total number of buttons ordered -- e.g., if you order fifty
buttons, you can pick 5 different designs, etc.
8. Do I need to include shipping when mailing a check/money
order?
Yes, please. The simplest way to do this is to go ahead and fill out the
order forms on our site as if you're paying online; the shipping cost will
be calculated automatically, and you can print out the final page (before
actual payment is required) and use that as your mail-in order form. PLEASE
NOTE THAT AS OF 01-18-06, OUR SHIPPING PRICES HAVE CHANGED. Please read
our new shipping costs page to see our new rates.
9. I need to order some buttons, but I have to get them very
quickly! Can you handle rush orders?
Sometimes -- it depends on how backed up we are, and how large the order
is. Please email Rose if you
need to place a rush order. There is sometimes an additional $5 fee for
rush orders.
10. Why can't I place a bulk order on the website?
You can now place bulk orders for set quantities on our bulk
discounts page. If you need to order an amount that isn't listed, please
email us so we can give you the total cost as
well
as
an estimate
of
how
long
it will
take.
In addition
to getting backed up occasionally, Rose also has a bad habit of forgetting
to order new button parts and sometimes runs out when several large orders
are placed at once. If you need to place a bulk order, just email
Rose with the details and she'll get back to you right away (well, okay,
not always RIGHT away, but usually within 24 hours).
11. Why don't you have more t-shirts/bumper stickers/other
stuff available?
We're working on it. ; ) We do have a BUNCH of new
stuff at our Cafe Press Shop.
12. Hey, what happened to the 3" magnets?
They have gone the way of the dodo -- they're a hassle to make, and we never
sold very many. Please note that our 3" buttons aren't available any more,
either.
13. Do you donate any of the money you make from this site?
We do donate money from time to time; more often, we donate buttons and stickers
(which, come to think of it, is much the same thing, as they cost us money).
We've donated buttons and/or stickers to various activist groups, and we
also occasionally give big discounts to struggling progressive groups; additionally,
we've given money to Wellstone Action, MoveOn.org, A.N.S.W.E.R. and have
also donated to progressive political candidates. Some of our recent donations
include: monetary donations to the Humane Society (for hurricane victims),
the DNC (because the caller praised Howard Dean), and Wellstone Action (we
donate to them every few months), as well as buttons and stickers to the
Harvest of Hope Foundation, which helps migrant farmworkers.
As
our
business
continues
to grow, we'll continue to help out the progressive community whenever and
wherever
we can.
We're
full-time
activists,
so
most of the money goes toward plane and/or bus tickets, website costs (Rose
also runs Fringefolk), etc.
